Zim Ninja Inspires Discipline and Humility at RANL Awards Ceremony
The renowned martial arts champion Wilfred Mashaya, also known as the Zim Ninja, presented the Most Disciplined Team award to the well-deserving winners at the Rainbow Amateur Netball League (RANL) Awards ceremony held over the weekend in Harare.
High Achievers Coach International Academy hosted the dazzling ceremony sponsored by Glow Petroleum, where sports enthusiasts and netball lovers gathered to celebrate the achievements of their favourite teams.
Haven Net Stars team from Bulawayo received the Most Disciplined Team award, presented by the Zim Ninja, making the event even more memorable.
Master Mashaya, Zimbabwe’s International Combat Organization President, is highly respected in the martial arts community.
The Zim Ninja has four black belts in different martial arts disciplines and was inducted into the International Budo Bushi Hall of Fame in 2023, solidifying his status as a role model in martial arts.
His impactful speech was a significant moment in the event and served as a reminder of the essential values of discipline and humility in sports.
“As sports people, we need to embrace our achievements with humility and discipline,” declared Master Mashaya. “Most importantly, we need to stay humble as we ascend the ladder of success. This keeps us focused and disciplined.”
The attendance of Zim Ninja at the RANL awards was a notable moment in an already remarkable career. Sensei Mashaya is the current Kobudo (Weapons Mastery) World Champion and recently won the gold medal in Bangladesh, solidifying his position as the top martial arts practitioner in Zimbabwe.
