Brothers, Innocent and Roy Kaia finished unbeaten on 60* (61) and 58* (47) respectively as Patriots 1 chased down Rimuka’s 172/10 (40.0 Ov) reaching 178/1 inside 23.3 overs.
Priviledge Chesa had given Takashinga Patriots 1 a head start with the ball taking four wickets for 44 from seven overs. Christopher Masike and Roy Kaia picked two wickets each while Victor Chirwa shone with the bat for Rimuka with a 75-ball 67 before he went on to take his team’s only wicket when he had Master Blaster, Tinashe Kamunhukamwe caught by Tashinga Musekiwa for 45 runs off 34 balls.
The dismissal of Kamunhukamwe after 7.5 overs saw Takashinga Patriots 1 sitting pretty on 56/1 and needing 117 runs to win from 37.1 overs.
The win sees Takashinga Patriots 1 climb one place in the positive to number three from number four with 70 points and a game in hand. Rimuka who lodged a commendable late resurgence in the league are on number six with 50 points.
