Shihan Samson Muripo Officially Caps Remarkable Fighting Career

SHIHAN Samson Muripo’s fighting career has officially ended in Shizuoka City, Japan.

In his last fight at the 2nd So-Kyokushin World Championships, the two-time world champion lost to a Japanese opponent.

The referees’ decisions in favour of the Japanese fighter tilted the scales in the second round of the Male-Adult-Heavyweight category.

Despite an unexpected setback, Shihan Muripo remains resolute and unwavering in pursuing the 6th Dan Grading as he prepares for the crucial 60 Men Kumite assignment.

Shihan Muripo’s colleague, Sensei Likwa Khumalo, was defeated in the male adult heavyweight category. The Japanese opponent won by decision in the second round, casting a temporary shadow on Sensei Khumalo’s journey.

Both karate masters are preparing themselves to face tomorrow’s challenges. Shihan Muripo is gearing up to take on the 60 Men Kumite assignment as part of his pursuit of the 6th Dan Grading, while Sensei Khumalo is preparing himself for the 50 Men Kumite task as a crucial step in his journey towards the 5th Dan Grading.
