“We are appealing to well-wishers and the commercial sector to give us the financial support we desperately need. As a new kid on the block, we are ready to rub shoulders with the best teams in Zimbabwe. Volleyball, just like any other sport involves a lot of travelling hence our plea for financial support”, he said.
The team manager also revealed that the club has already started training in preparation for the upcoming season whilst maintaining social distance due to Covid-19 pandemic. ” We started training two weeks ago because we want to be in the best possible shape when the season starts. Due to the world pandemic, we are maintaining social distance to avoid the spread of the disease”, Thulisani Zarima explained.
Volleyball was introduced in the dormitory town of Ruwa by volleyball fanatic Thulisani Zarima to identify and nurture talent. The sport was meant to keep young people in Ruwa occupied and desist from drug abuse.
