THE government has threatened to descend heavily on those abusing cyberspace to tarnish images of institutions and defaming people.
Secretary for Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Nick Mangwana made the remarks earlier in the day following reports suggesting that a ban for women from wearing mini skirts and trousers was on the cards.
“We believe in the total emancipation of women, and adults cannot be treated as kids being told what to wear and what not to,” Mangwana told EnterSportNews.
Mangwana said some laws have been put in place to deal with such violators.
“These cases are just mischief; we have cyber laws on the way to deal with the scourge,” he said.
