Doves Takes Over Machingura’s Burial

MIGHTY Warriors striker Rufaro Machingura’s burial is set for Zororo Cemetery along Chitungwiza Road this afternoon.

The former Black Rhinos Queens player passed away at her home in WaterFalls on Thursday, aged 30.

She is set to be interred at 2 pm.

Machingura had been a pale shadow of the girl who carried the team on her shoulders, scoring goals for fun after falling prey to drug and substance abuse.

Her family reached out for assistance to help bury their daughter.

“Following an appeal for help for the burial of the late Mighty Warriors striker…by her family, Doves has stepped up and will take care of the burial from casket provision and all related burial services,” said Doves Holdings Group Public Relations, Innocent Tshuma.

“Our sincere condolences to the Machingura family, the soccer fraternity and the nation at large over the sad loss of Rufaro, who was a vital member of the Mighty Warriors who brought sporting glory to the nation and deserved a dignified send-off that is synonymous with Doves Funeral services. May her soul rest in eternal peace.”

Shadreck Mlauzi, former Mighty Warriors coach, paid his condolences.

“My deepest condolences. What a loss to the nation. It’s a tough one, you know, barely a year ago, we also lost Adelaide Bhamu, and we are losing young players; it’s so touching, it’s so sad, ” Mlauzi said EnterSportNews.

“Our heartfelt condolences go to her family, Black Rhinos, her club, Women Soccer and the whole football fraternity.”
