DELTA Corporation through its subsidiary Delta Beverages has a signed a three-year sponsorship deal with the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League (PSL) using the Chibuku Super and Castle Lager brands.
The total sponsorship package for each season will be USD1 130. 000 payable in ZW$ at the prevailing bank rate covering the period from 2021-2023.
The budget for the season is split as follows:
Castle Premier Soccer League – USD700, 000
Castle Challenge Cup – USD55,000
Chibuku Super Cup – USD375,000.
In a statement yesterday, Delta, through their General Manager-Corporate Affairs, Patricia Murambinda, said they had lined up promotional activities to entice the fans to watch live games in the comfort of their homes.
“Our objective this year is: To capture all football fans enticing them to watch live games through promotional activities, support of their teams and sharing of the perfect moment in the comfort of their
homes. To build strong acceptability of the Castle Lager and Chibuku Super brands in the market,” said Murambinda
Delta Beverages is the country’s leading brewer, brewing lagers and traditional beer and the bottling of soft drinks under licence from the Coca Cola Company. It operates one of the largest distribution networks of depots and delivery fleets in Zimbabwe.
Meanwhile, the Chibuku Super Cup will be played from May 22 – 31 July, with 40 matches being played in Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare and Zvishavane, each city hosting group matches as football finally return.
