With this thrilling win, Zimbabwe now holds a solid 3-1 lead in the six-match series, unexpectedly dominating their rivals.
Brad Evans, Zimbabwe’s fast-paced bowler, emerged as the undeniable star of the day. Evans relentlessly dismissed five of Pakistan Shaheens’ batsmen, conceding 62 runs in his 10 overs. His unwavering accuracy and composure were instrumental in limiting the Shaheens to 295 for 9 in their 50 overs.
Unfazed by the Shaheens’ total, Zimbabwe Select put on a powerful display in their pursuit, quickly reaching the target within 47.3 overs. Craig Ervine and Joylord Gumbie emerged as the stalwarts of Zimbabwe’s batting line-up, notching up individual centuries that left spectators and opponents alike in awe.
