Chitown Masters Challenge Harare City’s Reign in Chess League

The Chitown Chess Masters are on a roll in the Pro Chess League. The team has continued its impressive form, defeating the Harare Chess Academy B side in a convincing whitewash.

Elsewhere, the Waterfalls Chess Club also recorded a 6-0 victory over Minerva. Meanwhile, Harare City, recovering from last week’s defeat, whitewashed the Harare Chess Academy B side.

Asante Chess Club cruised to another 6-0 win, this time over the Immortals Chess Club. In a nail-biting encounter, the Harare Polytechnic edged out the Knights Academy by a score of 4-2.

On the other hand, the Belvedere Free Piece overcame the Mhondoro Chess Club by a 4-2 margin. The matches were exciting, and the games were streamed live on the OF Chess am application, allowing spectators to watch the action online.

Next Saturday promises to be an exciting day as the teams continue their clashes in the chess league, which has been previously dominated by Harare City.

This year, the league appears to be tighter, as the teams fight for honours. The Chitown Masters are proving to be a formidable force, overcoming stiff competition from the Harare City Chess Club, which has been ruling the league in recent seasons due to its experienced players.
