Bosso marches on
BULAWAYO outfit, Highlanders consolidated their top five positions in the Zimbabwe Premier Volleyball League with vital wins against tough opposition during last weekend’s matches played at Chinhoyi University of Technology in Mashonaland West.
A 3-1 win against Black Mambas followed by a 3-0 demolition on Sunday coupled with Saturday’s 3-0 drubbing against Beitbridge Eagles ensured that Bosso closed the weekend in fifth place with 20 points from 10 matches.
UZ Wolves Men leads the 15-team log table with 25 points from 10 matches having won nine and lost once. The Wolves have a better ratio, 2.8 compared to any other team and they won both their games, 1-3 against Ruwa and 3-0 versus MSU at the weekend.
Army side Black Rhinos follows in second with 23 points, they beat MSU 3-0 and Chimoio 3-1.
NABA who beat Ruwa 3-0 are in fourth tied 22 points with the fourth-placed Support Unit. However, NABA enjoys a better ratio, 2.27 against Support Unit’s 1.8.
