ZIMBABWE renowned karateka Samson Muripo will have his docuseries premiere on Yakontent on Friday, July 16, 2021.
A docuseries, by definition, is a television series that follows a particular person or group of people and their involvement in actual events and situations over some time.
Muripo’s docuseries chronicles the life of the internationally acclaimed martial artist. It was filmed, recorded and edited by local Pan-African multimedia company Yakontent through their Yako Story Initiative.
Simply put, Yakontent is a vehicle that identifies, nurtures, promotes, showcases and advances African talent while also going a step further in developing skills. They offer employment opportunities to the youth, both men and women and help raw and untapped talent to shine on the local, regional, continental and international scene.
Shihan Muripo, a two-time World Karate Champion’s Yako Story, is brought to light courtesy of First Mutual Holdings Limited (FMHL). They have an impeccable track record of helping customers Go Beyond at every stage of their life for decades. His titles include the 6th Kyokushin World Championships gold medal in Moscow, Russia, in 2019, and the First African to win a World Title in Japan in 2009.
The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Yakontent, Tafadzwa Antony Munyaradzi, says Muripo’s story is one of hope, possibilities and self-belief, which without a doubt will inspire the Zimbabwean and African youth.
“His mastery, discipline, determination, perseverance and hard work have been the hallmark of Samson’s success which is an inspiration to the young people out there that there’s no shortcut to success. It is the amount of effort you put in that makes the difference,” Munyaradzi told EnterSportNews.
“His story shows the Zimbabwean and African youth from all walks of life that it is possible to go beyond your barriers and achieve greatness regardless of where you start off in life.”
The four-part mini docuseries will be available Only on Yakontent www.yakontent.com/home/ on Friday, while FMHL and Yakontent will be giving updates on their Facebook handles: @FirstMutualHoldingsLimited and @yakontent.
