Jah Prayzah Lines Up 11th Album
HIGH riding musician Jah Prayzah has lined up a new album which is set for release in July.
Titled Gwara the album according to the singer’s camp will be a mixture of tradition and contemporary songs which have become his trademark.
On Thursday, Jah Prayzah, born Mukudzei Mukombe sent social media into a frenzy with a social media post inscribed “Gwara July 2021”.
This was accompanied by a video of him playing the traditional mbira instrument and singing a song called Mhaka which insiders said is part of the upcoming album.
This will be the singer’s 11th album and will be accompanied by some videos.
“This will be the 11th album and we have done our part to ensure that we cater for the interests of our followers with traditional and contemporary songs for the young at heart,” his manager Keen Mushapaidze said.
Information on the exact date of release and the number of tracks on the album is yet to be availed.
Last year Jah Prayzah released his 10th album Hokoyo which had popular videos such as Mukwasha and Munyaradzi which featured the late socialite Moana.
The album could not be launched publicly as it coincided with the first national lockdown which was imposed by the government to contain the spread of the Covid-19.
This resulted in a virtual launch with the songs being uploaded on various online stores.
Jah Prayzah is one of the country’s crowd pullers and his album launches are characterised by huge numbers.
