Dancehall Star Micho Banchoe Faces New Health Crisis

Chitungwiza’s renowned dancehall artist, Micho Banchoe, also known as Mike Saujeni, has appealed for prayers and financial aid in his fight against an enigmatic foot ailment.

The 22-year-old, who was born with spina bifida—a condition that can cause a lump on the back and varying degrees of leg weakness, sometimes accompanied by bowel and bladder issues has been wheelchair-bound since birth.

Micho has not yet sought medical attention at Harare Hospital despite being referred there. He is experiencing severe pain and his left leg is producing watery discharges. “I’m in intense pain, it’s discharging so much fluid that it seems to be consuming my body, leaving me weak and helpless,” he expressed.

He also mentioned a loss of appetite and a desire for funds to afford injections that might alleviate his discomfort. “If I could get money for injections, it would make me feel a bit better,” he said. He plans to visit Harare Hospital on Friday morning for X-rays.

Micho shared his plight, saying, “The hardest part is that my mother isn’t here; she went to work to support us. Please include me in your prayers; I’m really struggling.”
