UZ SheWolves Unleash Fury in Triumphant Return to Harare Volleyball League

AFTER missing the initial round due to a technicality, the University of Zimbabwe Women’s team brutally got off their 2023 campaign at Morris Depot Courts on Saturday.

The UZ SheWolves registered identical 3-0 scorelines against Pythons and AFC Commercial Bank.

Support Unit clobbered Jewels 3-1 on a day of wider margins. Similarly, Manyame Falcons outwitted Black Mambas 3-1 to set up a potentially pulsating second day of the Harare Volleyball League day two of the second week on Sunday.

The men’s games were closely contested, with at least five matches going to the deciding set.

Harare City Men edged Old Hararians 3-2, and Black Rhinos beat Bindura Volleyball Club 3-2, with UZ Wolves Men seeing off a spirited BVC 3-2.

In the other matches played on Saturday, Support Unit lost 2-3 against Black Mambas, while Pythons also went down to Old Hararians 2-3.

The Wolves were once again on top of their game, walloping Pythons 3-0 so did Black Rhinos coming out 3-0 victors over Manyame Falcons.

NABA also accounted for Manyame Falcons 3-1. All the teams regroup on Sunday for another round of exciting fixtures at the same venue.
