Tagwirei fulfils promise

BUSINESS mogul Kuda Tagwirei today fulfilled his promise of giving vehicles to the coaches and captains of Dynamos and Highlanders Football Club.

Tagwirei, the Chief Executive Officer of Sakunda Holdings, promised during the unveiling of a three-year sponsorship for the two giants of local football on Tuesday evening.

He handed over to Tonderai Ndiraya, Mandla Mpofu, Patson Jaure and Ariel Sibanda four top of the range vehicles worth US$380 000.

Ndiraya was over the moon after receiving his vehicle and took a jibe at the Platinum sponsored sides without mentioning them by name.

“I think financially there is no doubt that we were behind some institutions or teams which I can’t mention by names. But I think this financial injection has taken us to almost at the same level with our competitors, particularly those we normally fight with us for honours,” said Ndiraya.

“It is really going to give us more energy to fight for honours as well. I can safely say that we are ready to fight with the big boys again. This financial injection has given us back that tag of being the ‘Big Boys.

“We are really excited as a technical team as well as for the players. This has really sent some important message particularly to our rivals.”

The financial package is expected to assist Dynamos and Highlanders Football Clubs meet their expenses and obligations to run the football clubs like a business in a professional manner.

The sponsorship package by Sakunda Holdings will mainly cover salaries, allowances, sign-on fees and administration costs.

Driving top of the range cars, Dynamos and Highlanders captains can inspire the next of these generations6 to want to play for these big teams, and if some are fortunate, they will wear the captain’s armband and enjoy the perks that come with it.”
