AMBITIOUS side Ngezi Platinum Stars added midfielder Marvellous Mukumba to their existing galaxy of stars as they seek to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2021 Premier Soccer League season set for May.
The former Black Rhinos player was unveiled during the team’s players and kit unveiling ceremony in Mhondoro-Ngezi yesterday.
Mukumba heralds as the list of several new signings at the Rodwell Dhlakama led premiership side.
Speaking during the ceremony, Ngezi Platinum Stars president Stanley Segula said his side’s ambition is to dominate in the local league and across borders.
“This is the moment when we set the tone for the Ngezi Platinum Stars trajectory in the Premier League though short, is decorated and colourful,” Segula said yesterday.
“I remember the 2016 season it was our debut season we didn’t disappoint. I think we finished the league on position seven and our eyes are all set on being the soccer powerhouse, dominating not only local football but even extending our dominance beyond borders.
“As Ngezi Platinum Stars this is the beginning of our fifth season prestigious premier league.
“We are excited about the return of our domestic league 2021 promises to be an exciting season and at the tag of being a dominant football club.”
