Former Caps United head coach Jostein Mathuthu does not regret quitting football as he is enjoying life in God’s service as a pastor.
“My time as a football coach expired a long time ago and I don’t see myself coming back. Life in God’s service is enjoyable and stress-free. The fact that you know that the work I’m doing belongs to the Almighty brings everlasting joy. Unlike imperfect men, God doesn’t forget all the good work you strive to do to glorify his name. There are rich rewards in the near future which this wicked world will never offer”, said pastor Mathuthu.
The former football coach stressed that the decision he took came from the heart.
“It was a calling from God. l took this decision out of the love for spiritual matters. It was an easy decision which I will never regret taking. Right now am receiving rich blessings with my spiritual brothers and sisters”
Mathuthu had a few words of wisdom to the nation of Zimbabwe. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the holy is understanding”, he said.
The former head coach wrote his own piece of history when he became the first coach to bring premier league football to the resort town Kariba in 2013.
